Alameda Island…s-l-o-w-l-y picking up…
On Tuesday of this week there were all of 6 new listings in Alameda, and on Wednesday there were 2 more! It’s a start!
I ride my bike on most every Tuesday Tour Day. This week it was quite pleasant…cold but pleasant!
Here are some highlights…
One condo, single level, on the 2nd story with a marvelous SF Bay view, complete with a single car garage and it’s own laundry is quite unusual (in our 1970′s inventory) at 1001 Shoreline. There are only 64 units, all with Bay views in this complex. Close to the windsurf shack – watch those babies fly in the spring!
The other unique house is at 3267 Fernside, on the estuary, with it’s own private boat dock. There are two structures here: one a lovely 3 bedroom classic 1928 house, with a detached rec room in the back. The woodwork is gorgeous inside the house.
At the last is 866 Oak Street – a lovely small 1 bedroom house, detached, and remodeled smartly inside. No off-street parking but it is close to Park Street and South Shore Center!
For the most recent Alameda info check out my blog. I update it weekly with new, pending, BOM (back on market), sold, expired, withdrawn each Friday. I also put some Quick Glimpses in if there are articles worth noting. www.MarilynSchumacher.com

Riding your bike on tour sounds wonderful. Unless you are Levi Leipheimer it’s not practical here…but there are compensating factors.
