I went by their office today and apparently the audit has been widely circulated but as far as I know no other Assessor/Recorder has done a similar Audit in California. Why do it? A whole bunch of recording fees and transfer taxes were evaded, if your county is cash strapped it would be a nice (and legitimate) source of additional funds. I wrote to mine, and also urged her to refer any instances of fraud to the local DA for prosecution. There were plenty of those turned up in the SF Audit. Eric Holder is too busy defending the murder of American Citizens without charge or trial and Kamala Harris is too busy getting ready for her new job at SCOTUS. It’s up to the counties, there’s money there, and publicity in an election year. Maybe, just maybe, we can start cleaning up this mess at a county level.
